Jagadish is a renowned Sculptorist and a painter, Jagdish was born in 1956 in Hyderabad. Jagdish was the first Indian to be offered the status of "artist in residence" at Lakeside Studio outside of Chicago.
His highest honor was becoming recipient of the prestigious Pollock-Krasner Foundation Award in 1993, the largest grant offered to independent artists in the United States.
